Production and Supply – refers to companies or organisations that are involved in the first phase of the supply chain, including renewable energy generators (wind farms, solar installations, etc.), electrolyser manufacturers, filling station manufacturers etc.
Transport and Storage – refers to companies or organisations that are involved in the movement of hydrogen from one location to another; most commonly from the site of production to the place of utilization. This includes transport and logistic companies such as gas lorry transport, owners of gas infrastructure such as pipelines and grid injection points.
Utilization – refers to the site where the hydrogen gas is utilized. This would include hydrogen filling stations or other such infrastructure.
Research – there is a wide range of research being carried out across Europe looking at all areas of the hydrogen picture and some examples of these projects are identified here.
